Cold-formed Steel

Compared with other traditional building materials, steel profiles have excellent mechanical forces.

First of all, as an important mechanical feature of structural steel, high yield strength can form an ideal elastic-plastic model within a large deformation range;

Secondly, due to a larger stress value, the steel has a larger residual deformation after yield, exceeding the normal range. The tensile strength guarantees structural safety;

Before fracture, which makes the steel become partially yield without obvious failure even by shearing, stamping, bending and hammering;

Fourthly, resisting to impact load, impact toughness is measured by the total absorbed energy during fracture, thereby it is a comprehensive indicator of steel strength and plasticity.

Besides its mechanical advantages, cold bending process maintains the physical properties of the steel, thus preserving the above prominent features.

A multiple times of cold bending can also greatly improve the strength and shear resistance of steel to meet the high specification requirements for materials in the building.
